When I was tidying up this blog during my break time, actually was thinking of changing or removing the text banner, I saw the About Me column. Re-reading it makes me think through the progress of refining myself to become a better person and the past events that have happened. Strong, no doubt, it made me. But besides that, what else? There's a saying, I think, i heard before but it's been ages since I've heard it again, no loss, no gain; when one grows up, one loses certain things but gain maturity. But then what losses did I attain? Exaperated, yes. Through the process. And actually the process is never stopping, it's just a matter of how severe or how intense this process is. Its usually minor, the small things that makes me think and reflect and refine myself, but at times, there are those major bumps/ hardships/ sufferings. But nevertheless, there's always something/ some lessons to gain from them. And it's also how one sees these lessons, negatively or positively, the events, negatively or positively. To become a better person, I realised that I have to look at both sides, 'absorb'/ learn the positive lessons, and also have to see the negative side, as a future warning. Be brave. Be strong. These are underlying lessons of most of the things I've been through. Be brave enough to see the negative side, do not turn away until I see it and remember them as a no-no lesson. And after that, immediately, turn away from those things. Know the consequences. Make the right decision or choice. Though most of the times, these are in grey areas, but there's always a better choice. A choice which would not harm oneself, or others in the long run. A choice,after careful consideration though it may be painful and tedious, after one has brave through it, one would emerge as a better person.

Food for thought

Like what someone said before, last year, with regards to 人不为己，天柱地灭 but the original idiom is 人若为己，天柱地灭。
Reason? If everyone just go after one's desire and don't care about others, the society is going to crash. And one can further reason out the reason why. One can see it in histories.

Individuals' a subset of family, which is a subset of society, which is a subset of a country, which is a subset of regional countries, which is a subset of the world.

Stars above,
Guard us as we sleep.
A star is dying soon.
Earth, won't u grieve?
Stars were born,
But yet fates of stars are tragic.
Born they are to suffer life,
Of the various kinds of torture the world is able to give.
But yet they strived and survived.
But yet they die in this manner.
But yet they will be welcomed with open arms at the other world.
